USDA Farm Service Agency Biomass Crop Assistance Program
BCAP provides financial assistance to producers or entities that deliver eligible biomass material to designated biomass conversion facilities for use as heat, power, biobased product, or biofuels. Initial assistance will be for the Collection, Harvest, Storage and Transportation (CHST) costs associated with the delivery of eligible materials. California Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils (CARC&DC) Biomass Technical Assistance Grant
This grant was aimed at biomass conversion technologies which utilize large amounts of wood fuel from national forests and other areas to reduce wild fire hazards, especially in the wildland urban interface. The program ended in December 2010.
ShadeFund: A program of The Conservation Fund
ShadeFund is a progressive group encouraging green business. Established by The Conservation Fund in 2010, this organization provided loans to entrepreneurs whose models used natural resources in innovative and responsible ways.
ShadeFund was a non-profit lender providing loans up to $50,000 to forest related businesses and other green small businesses throughout the US. Most ShadeFund loans were $20,000 or less.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
A component of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included funding for biomass grants.
