Graduate students Marcelo Moretti—Dr. Brad Hanson's lab—and Whitney Brim-DeForest—also from the Fischer lab—received first and second place (respectively) for their student research posters. Marcelo's work was on the Assessment of Glyphosate and Paraquat Resistance in Hairy Fleabane and Horseweed Populations of the Central Valley, while Whitney's poster was on the Resistance of Leptochloa fusca spp. fascicularis (bearded sprangletop) to ACCase Inhibitors in California Rice.
