How to Create Subtitles:

- In Left Naviation element, click on Content.
- From the Left Hand Navigation, select Subtitles.
- Click the video that you'd like to edit.

- Under subtitles, click ADD.
- You'll have the option of Uploading a text file of your captions, auto syncing the captions with voice, typing captions manually and auto translation.
- Usually, by default YouTube will add Auto Captioning. I find this a good place to start, and then Edit the Captions as the AI usually makes mistakes.
Subtitles need to be enabled by the Creator.
- Auto Sync - Captioning - Uses AI to add captions in a reasonable but not totally accurate way. You can edit the Auto Generated Captions
- Can add subtitles as you upload video.
- can upload SRT file - Tips for creating a transcript file
- Type manually
Creator Needs to translate to a different language. Auto-translate as user setting. User can change color of text and background color, etc.
TRANSCRIPTS:
- Can be auto generated, manually generated when editing video, or created manually in a text file, and uploaded to YouTube.
