UCCE Master Gardener Class Application (2019 class)


To be considered for the 2019 training, your application must be received online or via email ( on or before October 15, 2018. 

The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardener class will be conducted at the Chino Basin Water Conservation District located at 4594 San Bernardino Street, Montclair, CA,  91763 on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am -12:30 pm January 5, 2019 through May 18 (no classes on January 19, February 16, and April 20).  Graduation requirements include attending class regularly, passing open book midterm and final exams, and presenting a 15-minute talk to your classmates on a horticulture topic of your choice.

Note: High desert and mountain residents have the option of completing a hybrid (online supplemented with two ½ day Saturday training sessions in the local area).  All students (attending the live class and the hybrid class) are required to complete midterm and final exams and make a 15- minute presentation to their peers.  Please initial here if you prefer the hybrid option ____. What is the Master Gardener Program?  

The UCCE Master Gardener program provides 50-hours of training on gardening and home horticulture to accepted adult applicants (18 years and older) who agree to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours over a one year period through activities promoting sustainable landscaping; developing backyard, community and school gardens; and, increasing the health and vitality of communities through outdoor activities.
