2019 Concours d'Elegance Sign Up


Ironstone Concours d’Elegance is an antique and classic car show held at Ironstone Winery in Murphys. It is a fund raiser for 4-H in the foothill counties, FFA, and State Fair scholarships. 4-H members and families volunteer to help with the event and in return, the Ironstone Concours Foundation helps support the 4-H program.

Admission and lunch are free for 4-H members and adults volunteering and presenting. Each 4-H member/adult who is pre-registered will receive a lunch ticket at the 4-H check-in tent for the sandwich lunch in the Heritage Room. Adults and youth not working the event may purchase tickets.

Adults who are not signed up to help will not receive a free lunch or admission.   

Siblings, parents, and other family members may purchase tickets for the sandwich lunch in the Heritage Room or for the Concours Buffet Lunch in the Music room. Ironstone asks that no one brings in coolers to the car show area. We suggest you bring water and snacks to the 4-H display area as it is a long day.

4-H will provide coolers of bottled water at the 4-H entry table, the 4-H public speaking area. 

General entry tickets cost $25 per adult or $45 per couple or a family (for this, a family is two adults and 2 children). Children under 14 are admitted free. Tickets are available at

Please complete this survey by September 11. Members with presentations and impromptu speeches are encouraged to sign up for an event shift too. You will be contacted using the email address you provide with additional information after volunteer registration closes. 

4-H assembles gift bags for the Concours sponsors and show winners. Each gift bag contains home-baked cookies along with other 4-H items. All counties participating in Concours are requested to supply 20 dozen home-baked cookies. Cookies are packaged 4-6 depending on size in small ziplock bags. If you can help by baking cookies, please let your county office know. The cookies must be delivered no later than 8:30 AM that day to the Ironstone Heritage room kitchen.

Members Participating in Displays 

Members doing displays should have someone at their display to talk to the public all day.  Plan to do displays as groups so that there can be breaks for the youth throughout the day.

8:00-9:00: Set Up
9:00-2:30/3:00ish: Talk to Public about your display

please plan to bring a table, EZ-up and chairs in case the ones provided run out of space.  

Small animals, under 100 pounds are encouraged.  You must bring portable pens and water.  All dogs must be on leash and in a 4-H obedience or guide dog project. 

Prepared Presentations/ Creed Contest 

 10:15-11:30 - Prepared Presentations

Prepared 4-H Presentations are given for the public to learn about your 4-H/FFA Projects.  Presentations can be as individuals or in groups

Impromptu Speaking Contest


Impromptu Speaking contest members will receive awards in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Categories.  Awards will be given out during the Award Ceremony at approximately 2:30pm

Job Roles for All Youth

Youth should be prepared to work with other Concours staff and volunteers as they work different shifts.  Be prepared to have a smile on your face and talk about your projects and 4-H experiences.

These roles are for teen members, they can be regular teens or County Ambassadors

Times are approximate.  

The Patron Lunch is a drop in buffet style lunch.  Some times might be more busy than others.  Be prepared with talking points about your county and 4-H experiences you have had.

Awards Ceremony starts once all awards are decided and tallied and may run late.  Please be patient and ready for when the awards are ready.

Adults should help to supervise youth and encourage them to be talking with the public about their 4-H Projects and other experiences in 4-H.
