Identify and Combat Five Common Edible Garden Pests

Audience: This workshop is open to MMGs and the public.

Location:  Indian Valley Organic Farm and Garden                                     1800 Ignacio Blvd, Novato, CA 94949

 

Program:

Participants will learn about the identification and life cycles of five common edible garden pests, when and how to intervene with various cultural controls and management strategies, and how to promote beneficial insects in your garden so that they will do the management work for you.

Speaker: 

Joan Kozlowski, a UC Marin Master Gardener since 2015, is currently on the Leadership Team of the MMG Edibles Guild. She helped establish the Demonstration Garden at Indian Valley Organic Farm and continues to work there regularly. She grew up on a farm and has always been interested in the pests that continually put obstacles in the way of that perfect summer garden.

Cost: $10.00
