Education Platform

New this year! The Youth Summits are adopting an education platform focusing around Social Awareness. Social awareness focuses on how individuals can create change in their surroundings. Think about the environments that you live, work and play in with others.  How can you improve the social relationships in those settings? Is there something you want to teach others about that will increase their knowledge about how society works? Is there a skill that you think others should have that will help them in social settings? Think of these type of thoughts when designing a workshop for the youth summit.

All workshop proposals should be focused on some aspect of social awareness.

Workshops should be engaging to youth through a mixture of instruction and hands-on learning experiences. Presenters can be 4-H youth, adult volunteers, and members of the community.

The California 4-H Youth Summits are proudly hosted by the California 4-H Management Board!  Summits are three day weekend leadership experiences geared for youth ages 11-13, planned by youth ages 14-18. Youth are invited to join us at any of the youth summit events as it is not required for them to attend the event hosted in their own area.
