Espalier Fruit Trees—Beautiful & Practical

Are you limited on space but want to grow some fruit trees?  If you have a sunny spot next to a fence, or some other area, you might want to consider espalier fruit trees.  You can buy them, but they are usually expensive.  We'll talk about how you can train your own, and how to prune to keep the shape.

About Our Garden

Our Garden is a public demonstration garden of the UC Master Gardener Program of Contra Costa County, located in Walnut Creek at the corner of North Wiget Lane and Shadelands Drive, just off Ygnacio Valley Road. From April through October, weekly speakers present a variety of information on edibles gardening and home gardening in general.

UC Master Gardeners of Contra Costa maintain the garden and interface with the general public. We encourage you to bring in your home and garden questions and talk with a UC Master Gardener at the Ask a Master Gardener Table (9 am to Noon)!
