Event Details

The Aquatic Weed School 2018 is an intensive two-day course focusing on issues associated with developing weed management strategies in a variety of aquatic ecosystems. The course provides a rare opportunity for professionals to efficiently update their understanding of aquatic weeds and interact with experts in this field. The Aquatic Weed School is designed for those involved in consulting, research, and management of aquatic weed systems throughout the western United States.

Topics include: ecological classification and impacts of aquatic weeds * biology of aquatic weeds * physical and chemical characteristics of aquatic ecosystems * regulatory issues—update on National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) * are herbicides safe * label compliance and CA herbicide registration

Registration is $485 before August 22, 2018 and $500 after August 22, 2018.


Continuing education credits will be provided.

This course is approved for the following:
PCA, QAC, QAL, Private Applicator : 1.5 Laws, 11.5 Other
Certified Crop Adviser: 12.5 IPM
