The All Stars are a group of teens that have earned their gold star in the 4-H program. The process of being able to qualify as an All Star takes youth multiple years to accomplish of service to others, community involvement, public speaking experience, and much more. The All Stars are selected every year, and the All Stars come together to formulate, coordinate, and implement a plan of action. This year's plan of action was to offer a record book training, as well as a dinner and dance with a hoedown theme. The 4-H record book is like a youth portfolio for a youth's work through the 4-H program. The All Stars offered hands-on and informative training to all Placer County 4-H youth members and families on how to have a well formed record book. After the record book training, the All Stars jumped right into offering a dinner and dance for 4-H members and non-members to come together and have fun and safe evening. The day was full of hard work, bonding, and good times. The All Stars did a wonderful job, and are excited to offer more similar experiences in the future for the community.
