Soon you're going to notice a change to the Grant Tracking System (GTS) to include a subaward tab under the Project Information section. This is essentially a new subaward database within GTS which will allow us to better track and manage subawards that we issue to other entities under your sponsored projects. A subaward is when we are transferring out a substantial part of the programmatic effort to another entity. This includes other UC Campuses, such as UC Davis.
On this new tab there are three questions asking you if any subawards will be issued under this project and if yes, will any of the subawards result in an agreement with a current or former university employee. Next, in order to enter the subawardee into the database, there is a section where you can enter the name of each subaward entity and their project director. Subaward documents such as their Scope of Work, Budget, and Subrecipient Commitment Form should continue to be uploaded in the documents section.
We hope that you find this new tab easy to use, but if you encounter any problems or have questions please give us a call at 530-750-1276 or email us at ocg@ucanr.edu.
Thank you.
