At the Gold Country Fairgrounds on May 9th, 4-H youth, parents, and friends all joined together to learn about various animal projects offered within Placer County 4-H. Demonstrations for animal projects ranging from dog and small animals all the way up to steer and swine were present. Youth were able to move through 12 different stations to learn about showmanship for each 4-H animal project present. There was record attendance of 200 youth and parents at Animal Youth Fair.
The opportunities for youth in 4-H are limitless, and 4-H is active in a majority of communities within Placer County. A new 4-H year will begin on July 1st, so please visit our website and social media sites to get more information. Online enrollment will begin in Early August.
If you have any additional questions, please call the 4-H Office at (530) 889-7386.
