Congratulations to Anna Lucostic of Linden-Peters 4-H for her selection to the 2017-2018 State Ambassador Team! Only a small handful of 4-Hers in California serve as State Ambassadors, so this is a wonderful achievement. We asked Anna to share a few words about what she'll be doing this year:
It is an honor to be chosen as a State Ambassador, representing San Joaquin County. Our county hasn't had a State Ambassador representative since 2014. I hope to continue the 4-H vision by being a leader who helps to inspire youth find their Spark through research based strategies such as providing supportive opportunities, a relaxing atmosphere, and exposure to the 4-H mission mandates. These mandates, such as Science, Healthy Living, and Citizenship are displayed and encouraged through our local club projects, county, and state events. The 2017 Ambassadors are from as far away as Southern California. They are a fun and friendly group who share their 4-H enthusiasm and have such a committed drive to help organize the state 4-H events. One big event that we plan and organize is the State Leadership Conference next summer. I look forward to collaborating with my group to make it a success.
