Representing the Castle Challenger Learning Center Foundation is the Operations Administrator, Amanda Hartman. The Castle Challenger Learning Center in Atwater has collaborated with the 4-H program for over 12 years in supporting and promoting positive youth development and science activities for youth in Merced County and beyond. Youth have become exposed to and helped assist in the development of the science center and have used the facilities for various 4-H events. Over the years we have had 4-H groups do flight missions, held 4-H Achievement Day, LCORT conference, the 4-H Dinner Auction, various science trainings, Mechanical Skills Day, and even had a special 4-H Robotics Room at the Challenger and the Science and Technology Center. For the opening of the STC, the Merced Focus group, that year actually built some of hands on activities and displays that are still being used in the center today.
