Officer Retreat
IF YOU ARE A CLUB OFFICER, JUNIOR OR TEEN LEADER, OFFICER ADVISOR OR CLUB OR PROJECT LEADER PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER FOR THE OFFICER RETREAT. It will be held August 27 at UC Merced. Along with officer training we will also be doing a Thrive Training. We are encouraging all club officers and Junior and Teen Leaders to attend. Member Online Record Book Webinar
Record books will be offered on line this year as an option to filling them out. They will still need to be printed and turned into club leaders. To learn more about this option you may join the webinar on August 30, 2011.
Members may login to a state informational on August 30th at 6 PM. This one hour webinar will give members a first look at the many innovative features in the California 4-H Youth Development Program Online Record Book system. Space is limited to the first 150 members to login to the Adobe Connect system. The webinar is FLASH based and will require that your home computer is properly setup with speakers or headphones. Animal Science Leaders’ Meeting
The 2011Fall Animal Science Leaders’ meeting is set for August 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. At least one representative from each club is needed to attend the meeting. These representatives should be prepared:
- To share project meeting successes with other leaders
- To give feed back on our local fairs
- To recommend judges for the fairs
- To become aware of resources available
- To decide whether to participate in the Bio-security project
- To address other concerns :ie record keeping
Facilitators will be Amber Baker-Small Animal, and Carole Dietz-Advocacy.

California 4-H Revolution of Responsibility $1,000 for 1,000 Service Learning Projects
Funding up to $1,000
Review dates of October 15, 2011, January 15, 2012, and April 15, 2012
In support of this community development work, the CA State 4-H Office will consolidate the Requests for Funding (RFP) for Service-Learning, Healthy Living, SET, and Legacy into one application. Chartered 4-H clubs/units can apply for funding up to $1,000 to support service-learning projects related to their club or project activities by submitting the proposal linked above.
