*Very Important!! Your entry will be "complete" once you have submitted your fashion revue commentary of 70 words on a separate sheet of paper. In addition a 2" square swatch of fabric and copy of pattern envelope is required if you have entered any constructed category. Before pictures are required for the upcycled category by Monday, May 1, 2020!!

Any member may submit an entry for the program cover design contest for the 2020 Fashion Revue. These words must be included in your design: Kings County 4-H Fashion Revue, May 1, 2020, and the theme- "20/20 Fashion What's Your Vision?". Submit your entry by April 17th to the UCCE Office. All entries must be on 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" size paper.

Check in will begin at 12:00 noon with judging to begin at 12:30 pm at the UCCE Office
Evening fashion show will be at 6:00 pm at Kings Fairgrounds.

Box Challenge Participants will sew a garment or outfit from 2 different fabrics. Use the required number of items from the Box. Items in the box are zipper, buttonholes, pockets, collar/waistband/set-in sleeve, gathering or ruffle, darts/pleats, trim, hand made accessory.

**Juniors must use at least 2 items.
**Intermediates must use at least 3 items.
**Seniors must use at least 4 items.

The garment must be sewn by the member as part of the 4-H Clothing & Textiles project. ✻

Vintage Challenge
Create an outfit that is inspired or looks like a design from 1900-2000, using new fabric and notions. The entry must state the year or period of the design and include a drawing, photo or description of the classic design that is being reproduced or duplicated. Add accessories to complete the outfit that are reminiscent of that time period. The outfit must feature at least one handmade garment made by the member. Other pieces of the outfit must be representational and recognizable as belonging to the same era as the hand made garment.

Cosplay Challenge

Cosplay is the practice of dressing to resemble a fictional character from a movie, book, or video game. Cosplay can also depict an original or historical character. Participants in this challenge will construct a cosplay costume. Start with a photo or drawing of the character. Use any crafting techniques and any materials to make the costume. Sewing is not required. Pre-made, purchased costume kits, or parts of kits are not allowed. Accessories may be purchased. Do not include real or realistic weapons. Purchased garments may be used as a starting point for the costume. The costume and its theme must be 4-H appropriate. "DisneyBounding" is not considered Cosplay for this challenge.
