This position is being advertised as either a Financial Analyst 3 or 4 depending on the level of experience of the hired applicant.
If the applicant is hired as a Financial Analyst 3, duties will be focused on technical skills demonstrating full understanding of UC budgeting, organizational policies and procedures. If the applicant is hired as a Financial Analyst 4, duties will be focused on advanced professional concepts and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues with an understanding of UC budgeting, organizational policies and procedures. After one year of successful performance as a Financial Analyst 3, the individual will be eligible to be reclassified up to a Financial Analyst 4.
Supports the Vice Provost and Associate Vice President for UCCE county-based programs and other division programs, including budget calls, position budgeting and funding allocations, account analysis and maintenance. Requires broad scope and understanding of permanent and temporary budgets and varying fund sources as related to academic and centrally-supported staff salary and funding actions.
UC ANR's Business Operations Center (BOC) and Statewide Program Operations provide transactional support, account management and policy interpretations for over 50 UC Cooperative Extension Offices and UC ANR's Statewide Programs, RECS and Administrative units. Comprised of several Business Partner Teams, this unit demonstrates a customer service model in providing fiscal and account management services for UC ANR organizational units assigned to each Team/Unit. This position serves as the Fiscal Officer for all UC ANR UCCE academics, ANR Division based specialists and staff for funds allocated to the Vice Provost and Associate VP for Statewide Programs.
