Reporting to the ANR DIRECTOR, STATEWIDE PROGRAM OPERATIONS, manage financial, personnel, programmatic and administrative operations within the SR LEADERSHIP, STATEWIDE PROGRAM OPERATIONS AND REC SYSTEM consisting of several program/administrative units and 9 Centers (RECs).
Implement guidelines, internal controls; financial information reporting; interpret fiscal information; make recommendations for strategic planning and policy formulation for a total budget of approximately $33 million with an annual operating budget $13 million. Manage administrative support services within the complex, multifaceted and diverse research organization that encompasses the efforts of many units, delivering program management, research, training, outreach, and fundraising support throughout the State of California. Provide leadership and establish priorities for fiscal and operational activities. Advise the Associate Vice President, 3 Vice Provosts, 2 Assistant Vice Provosts, Directors and Superintendents and other leaders in matters involving business operations, fiscal management, and human resources. Conduct organizational and budgetary analysis. Facilitate and implement training, education, and team building.
Achieve organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff. Establish ANR divisionwide goals and objectives; manage the accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and physical resources in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
Serve as the main point of contact and central authority on operations, policy and procedure interpretations that will impact the entirety of the Statewide Program and REC Operations Center. This position has wide latitude in decision making, and significant impact on the overall outcome of ANR's strategic initiatives.
Serve on the ANR Administrative Review Council, Position is responsible for rate and recharge for the REC system and other units. Interacts with ANR RATE Committee, ANR Financial Services and the ANR Resource Planning and Management.
