Join the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center to celebrate research and education at this spectacular site. Hands on field experiences and a delicious farm to table luncheon with live music and auction will all be available.
Our celebration will begin with an optional field session, get involved with our work by meeting researchers and experiencing their projects hands on!
- Drones for Post-fire Research - watch drones in action and understand how they can be used to help research and manage our landscapes with Shane Feirer, UCANR IGIS.
- Oak woodlands post-fire - A field visit with UCCE Forestry Advisor, Dr. Mike Jones.
- Wildlife - Learn why HREC is such an important location for wildlife research with the UC Berkeley, Brashares Lab
- Hike with the Director - Join John Bailey on a tour of the site and consider the many projects taking place.
Following the field session we will gather at the Rod Shippey Hall to enjoy our own HREC lamb (vegetarian/vegan options available), alongside other farm to table produce. Live music a live auction and a chance to hear directly from our researchers will be offered during the meal. We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating with you.
