Gardening in a Changing Climate Sept 9, 16, 23, 30 & Oct. 7
A warming atmosphere, warming oceans, acidic seas, rising sea levels, and earlier onset of spring are some of the headlines we read today. But, it isn't the first time in Earth's history that it has happened. In the past, Earth experienced five major extinctions. Does what is happening now share anything in common with those events? If so, what can we learn from them? Are we experiencing a sixth major extinction? How will the warming, rising sea levels, and earlier spring affect us as home owners and gardeners? Join us for a five part series as we delve into some answers to those questions and to see how we might learn from the past, and the steps we might, as gardeners, take to ensure a future healthy earth.
When: This is a 5 part weekly series Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30 and Oct. 7
