Under close supervision, the Staff Research Associate 1 supports the research program by assisting researchers and other staff who are conducting research on a variety of research projects. The candidate will conduct field and laboratory research projects and maintain research plots. Specific tasks involve setting up and calibrating equipment for field trials, applying treatments to field trials, collecting data, conducting basic data analysis, and possibly culturing and maintaining microorganisms in the lab.
This position is a career appointment that is 55% fixed.
Pay Scale: $25.75/hour to $28.07/hour
This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
The University reserves the right to make employment contingent upon successful completion of the background check. This is a designated position requiring a background check and may require fingerprinting due to the nature of the job responsibilities.
