Under general supervision of the Project Manager, the Learning & Development Specialist (Trainer 3) acts as an experienced professional who puts theory into practice to provide education and training programs to support new UCANR IT systems and processes. The incumbent will identify training needs, develop new training programs of diverse scope, and deliver a variety of training programs and materials to staff and academic employees focusing on administrative employees using a blending of multiple delivery channels like online, classroom, webinar, videos, etc. across variety of modules.

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced training and development professional to resolve a wide range of training issues and needs assessments. Develops new training programs and works on complex training courses of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering training and development programs.

This position is a contract appointment that is 100% fixed and ends two years from date of hire with the possibility of extension if funding permits. 

The home department for this position is IT Services. While this position normally is based in Davis, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time. Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University. 

Pay Scale: $64,300/year to $89,300/year
