To all the lovely people,
I am passing along this article not only the foods but the reasons behind these selections - examples: the amount of pesticides used on tomatoes and onions imported from Peru. I would always encourage growing your own but the next best way is to buy local and buy organic.
I hope your gardens are all doing well - we have our first sunflowers and zinnias and are harvesting and eating broccoli, zucchini, potatoes, garlic, and shallots. We will be picking beans by next week and tomatoes in two. Corn is tasseling. It's all beautiful. Also, out great wheat trial is doing well - the plants are 3' and 4' tall and all have heads. We can't wait to see and taste bead from our own home grown...
