Several wildfires have been started by sparks thrown from mowers and other equipment being used to manage vegetation for fire safety.
Make sure you are managing vegetation safely!
Mow/use power equipment on cool, humid days and in the cooler morning hours before 10:00 am. Don't use power equipment when it's windy, and a spark could get out of control. Make sure equipment has functioning spark arresters. Don't drive a hot vehicle onto dry grass. For more tips, visit CalFire's web site, readyforwildfire.org
