We are excited that the OrganWise Guys will make their third appearance this upcoming school year at Olmos and Rowell Elementary Schools!
In addition to our UC curriculum, the OrganWise Guys curriculum teaches children of all ages to care of their body from the inside out by bringing organ characters to life using plush dolls.
At the end of each year, students display the knowledge of each character that they have gained.
We look forward to another great year with the OrganWise Guys!

The teachers and students at Olmos Elementary are part of a pilot program, The OrganWise Guys.
OrganWise uses a doll filled with stuffed organs to teach the children the importance of eating healthy. It gives the students an "inside" look into what lies within their bodies.
They learn that Hearty Heart enjoys exercise and a low-fat diet, the kidney brothers love everything water, and that Calci M. Bone feels strong when you eat and drink calcium rich foods.
Introducing OrganWise Guys at Olmos has brought a new demension to the work UC CalFresh does with the students in Fresno County!
OrganWise Guy "Bobby" hangs out with the students during breakfast as they watch a video about taking care of their organs.
