Three Ssters Garden is located at the Madera Community College Center and home to the Madera Master Gardeners. The garden has a large Iris garden at this site. Each year the iris bloom just in time for the Spring Garden Tour. But there is the labor of love during the summer, all iris rhizome are dug out of the ground! Master Gardener volunteers, dig, sort and transplant the rhizome for the coming year. 

Have questions about rhizomes? Madera Master gardeners have the Iris Team. Look for them at the Madera District Fair starting September 8. MG volunteers will be there to answer questions and give away some of the wonderful iris shizomes.

UC  Master Gardener Program of Fresno and Madera County are currently taking applications for new master gardeners to be part of the next training class beginning January 2023. The application window runs through August 31,2022. Training classes are offered every other year.

The on-line application window runs from June 1, 2022 through August 31, 2022.
