I don't see what the revisions are in the policy the article links to. It is still dated 1996 and there is nothing highlighted that tells the reader what is changed. However, my actual point is that I would really like it is we could get at least one shirt or other article of clothing we can use year round ( i.e., not a jacket or vest) we can wear to identify ourselves as UC personnel. This would be good for working in public areas such as parks or meetings or places where people keep coming up and asking why are in a certain location. It does not end the questions but at least there is less of a hassle when justifying to the police why I am collecting samples on the side of a road.

We second Cheryl Wilen's idea in San Mateo / San Fran Counties! T-shirts, T-shirts, T-shirts! (:

Thanks for looking into that Robin.

Hi Cheryl and Robin,
Cheryl - excellent idea, and my thoughts exactly.
Robin: yes, please, see what you can do. Those of us in urban areas are in a somewhat tricky - and potentially unpleasant - position in that most of the people who see us working are _unfamiliar_ with both Cooperative Extension and with the advisor personally (this is very different from the situation in ag settings). A shirt (polo, "dress," T) or some other article of clothing with a prominent UCCE "label" would be a very useful tool...
