Each fall the sunrise is oriented in such a way that it shines over a small saddle in the ridge-line and basks this Fremont Cottonwood in light. However, at the time that I am driving to work on University Road in the morning, the hillside in the background is still shaded. The result is awe-inspiring and it reminds me of all the wonderful and good things about the UC Hopland Research & Extension Center.
Although I have photographed it before (and Blogged it), I always mean to stop and photograph it again ... but I usually do not have my camera or lack the time. This morning I took the time, turned around and went back to the spot, and snapped a few photos.
For all of you "Blog-followers", this is a request to share the HREC Blog with someone else who you think does not yet know about it, yet would enjoy it. They can go to the ANR Hopland REC Blog website (click here to find it). Once at the Blog, they can choose "subscribe" from the far-right hand bottom menu and they will simply receive an email with the current Blog each time I post one. Thanks.
