Back in the Black is a two-part ranch management financial short course that helps beef cattle ranchers assess the financial well-being of their operation and determine the profitability of alternative management decisions. Back in the Black was developed by UC Extension personnel including Dave Pratt, Gary Veserat, Dr. Jim Oltjen and Patrick Blacklock and was designed to be consistent with the methods of Dr. Stan Parsons and the NCBA's Standardized Performance Analysis.
The course will be held at the UCCE Tulare County Auditorium at 4437-B Laspina St., Tulare, CA
Session 1: Thursday, November 13th, 2014 from 11:00 to 3:30
Session 2: Thursday, December 4th, 2014 from 12:30 - 4:30
In session 1, participants will learn how to use the Excel program and analyze a sample ranch budget. In session 2, participants will compile a budget for their operation. The cost for the course is a flat fee of $50. To register visit: http://ucanr.edu/bblk
