Processing wool isn't something many of us have had occasion to do! I have examined a lot of hairs for color patterns and cuticular scales so that I could identify them from predator scat or as forensic evidence, but as a commodity? Not my job!

Thanks for your comment Earle - it was indeed quite a process! It gives us the chance to use our own wool when working with school groups, we were certainly grateful to have Dana working on it!
