Also doing very well in San Jose, although harder to find in local nurseries (but not online): sparaxis, ixia, babiana.

Numerous bulbs from Mexico are very interesting, one common one is white Rain Lilly. It looks like crocus, blooms off and on thru summer, it can be planted in very dry areas and pops up when it gets water. There is a pink variety and some hybrids.
