Peak nymph emergence of Virginia creeper leafhopper (VCLH) and Western grape leafhopper (WGLH) has now passed and a majority of leafhopper eggs show signs of emergence in Mendocino (81-100%) and Lake (66-100%) Counties (Figs. 1-2).
Expect more adults of both leafhopper species to appear either this week or next. This new brood will be laying eggs higher up in the vine canopy.
We'll begin to release parasitoids again as adult egg deposition gets underway.
