I have to admit, my first weekend in SLO, I spent at the drive-in movie theater tonight with family and friends tonight. It was breezy and about 55-60 degrees and everyone had blankets and jackets on. We watch Dispicable Me 3 and I was a bit dissappointed that the Minions (my favorite) didn't have a larger role However, it is definitely a change from the 100-108 degrees in Davis! I am sure tbat the fireworks at Pismo Beach on July 4th will be just as cool! It is definitely a different lifestyle! I will miss everyone in Davis but am looking forward to continuing in the Vice Provost of CE role for the next three months. There are still lots of things I want to accomplish before leaving. All of us are replaceable and I hope that we can find someone to fill the role that brings a great deal of enthusiasm for the position and a passion for CE that advances us to the next level. I definitely have enjoyed working with you and look forward to contributing to the advancement of CE over the next few months and beyond in my new position. Wendy, thank you for your leadership, service and your dedication to ensuring UC ANR and UCCE are meeting the needs of the people of California. I am looking forward to the journey!
