I had a severe covid infection. I am 9 weeks post-COVID and inspected hives today. Was stung about 6 times. Never before allergic to bee stings. Had major reaction. All lymph nodes in both armpits, both groin areas and both sides of the neck swelled and itched. Throat swelled but did not obstruct airway possibly due to the double dose of Benadryl i took. And both hands and feet itched like mad! Never before in 10 years of beekeeping have I had this reaction.

I had an anaphylactic response to a sting Monday for the first time. Two days later found out I was positive for Covid. I had one vaccine in Nov. 2021. Beekeeper for 5 years. I believe the reaction was because of Covid and the response from the vaccine.

I had an unprecedented allergic reaction to a bee sting 10 weeks after having a severe case of COVID. I have never had more than a little redness and swelling at the site of the bite. I had hives, swollen lymph nodes, esophageal spasms, and violent GI reactions. Two days later, my joints are still swollen.

My wife was diagnosed with COVID-19 in August 2022. She received a bee sting the day after diagnosis and had a severe allergic reaction: skin hives, swelling, and difficulty breathing. We called 911 and the EMTs/firefighters gave her an epinephrine IV and sent her to the ER. (We now have epi-pens).
Wind the clock forward to today: she was stung in the neck, this time no allergic reaction (fortunately!).
Perhaps COVID-19 affects bee sting reaction...
