UC Master Gardeners are highly trained, certified volunteers who extend horticultural knowledge to home gardeners. In our county Master Gardner training is offered once a year. Each year we accept approximately 35 trainees. Entrance to the training program is by application and interview only.
The current year’s class has recently finished training. Plans for next year are already in place. If you are interested in becoming a UC Master Gardener, please plan on coming to one of our orientation meetings. Orientation meeting times are Wednesday, September 7th from 2-4 pm or Monday, September 12 from 6-8 pm.
Classes begin January 12, 2012. All classes will be held on Thursdays from 1-4:30 pm. You must attend an orientation meeting to be eligible to apply for the program.
