We have been seeing quite a few bumblebees of a couple species for a month or more here on the Mendonoma coast, particularly since the Ceanothus has started blooming. Then again we have little commercial agriculture here, and what we have is mostly organic. Could make a difference.

I wonder if the rain had any effect. I know these solitary bees pupate in the soil.
