I enjoyed this timely article. I have examples of every one of the above on some tomatoes in my tomato garden. "Maintain even moisture" has been suggested almost every time above as a solution, But what does that mean? I have drip irrigation which can maintain even moisture, but instead, I follow tomato grower's advice to let the tomatoes dry out between waterings and not to encourage too much foliage growth. So, which is it? A delicate balance? For example, see the photo of Dave Freed's plants.
