Join us for the 2024 California Alfalfa and Forage Symposium from December 10-12, 2024 at the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, NV. The Symposium is jointly organized by UC Cooperative Extension and the California Alfalfa and Forage Association. Please see the conference website for complete information and to register. Early bird registration closes October 31, standard registration runs from November 1-28, and late registration is available after that. A hotel block is available, but reservations must be made by November 28 to secure the conference rate.
The 2024 Symposium theme is "Making Every Drop Count: Producing Alfalfa and Forages in Wet and Dry Years." There will be sessions on Economics, Trade and Water Trends; Pest Management; Grass/Alternative Forage Production; Forages, Alternative Feedstuffs and Feeding CA's Dairy Herd; What's New in Industry; Nutrient Management; and Soil Health and Climate-Smart Agriculture Practices. In addition to these sessions, there is a full-day pre-Symposium Workshop on Advances in Irrigation and Water Management. The Symposium includes a student poster competition, professional poster session, trade show, and sponsorship opportunities. Please visit the conference website for details.
