CAL CONFERENCE apps for YOUTH and CHAPERONES due November 30th to the office with a $50.00 deposit check. No late apps accepted. We must have chaperones by Fri November 30th at 4:00pm if Sonoma County youth are to attend. Sign up now, before the holiday rush begins! We have two youth signed up so far. They are from Golrdridge and Forestville. Participating clubs are responsible for communicating and providing the needed chaperones. We typically need 2 women and 1 male. I will keep you posted on the Monday List, but applications must be in our office by the due date. You can find more information about the conference as well as the applications at: http://cesonoma.ucanr.edu/Youth_Development/4-H_Events_and_Activities/CAL_Conference/
CLUB LEADERS>>>IMPORTANT…Please open up attachment below. It is a “VEC (volunteer enrollment coordinator) Help Sheet” for online enrollment. This is hot off the press from the State. Please print it out and use it as a step by step guide. It would be VERY, VERY helpful if this is followed BEFORE registration comes to the office. Our part-time secretary is backed up with registration, because she has had to return so many incomplete documents. We realize the online system is often confusing and we have been requesting training for over a year.
The State has heard us loud and clear and has developed this sheet, just for YOU! And will have video trainings in the near future.

From the Chickenque Committee,
We are already busy planning for the 2013 Sonoma County 4-H Chickenque and our first items of business is the T-shirt drawing contest. It was a huge success last year and our goal is to get the information out earlier, leaving no one out. We want to encourage every youth to participate, so be creative and submit a drawing.
Our goal is to better our communication and rally the volunteers. We are proud of the changes we made and are looking forward to higher attendance, more club participation and new volunteers.
Please considering being a part of this great committee. We are looking for a few good volunteers. If you're interested, contact Matt Schafer at matt@firetriangle.com.
Thank you for being a part of this amazing event!

To register for the meeting, please access the following link: https://ucanr.org/survey2/survey.cfm?surveynumber=7810
Please note, this is an informational meeting. It is not a training workshop where you receive certifcation in a discipline. It is an opportunity for you to network with leaders from throughout the state and gain further information about the shooting sports program.
