The FPS Annual Meeting is fast approaching – have you registered yet?
The 2012 Annual Meeting is being held on February 20, 2013 due to scheduling conflicts with the 17th Congress of the International Council for the Study of Virus and Virus-like Diseases of the Grapevine (ICVG) which was held in Davis last October. February 20 was chosen so those wishing to also attend the Current Wine and Wine Grape Research conference wouldn’t have to plan multiple trips to Davis.
The Current Wine and Wine Grape Research conference is co-sponsored by the American Vineyard Foundation (AVF) and the National Grape and Wine Initiative (NGWI). This unique forum will offer a full day of presentations by researchers describing their projects funded by AVF grants. Topics include work on grapevine breeding and evaluation, cultural practices, disease and insect pest control, and enology. The conference will be held on February 21, 2013 at Freeborn Hall on the UC Davis campus from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Not only will lunch be provided, but a wine reception will follow where you can meet the researchers. Registration for this wonderful event costs $49.
If you plan on attending the FPS Annual Meeting, it might be worth your while to stay an extra day and attend the Current Wine and Wine Grape Research conference, as well.
