Earth-Friendly Gardening: Improving Your Soil!

Join the University of California Master Gardeners of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties on November 23, 2024 for the second in a series of four workshops on Earth Friendly Gardening.

How healthy is your soil? 

For this workshop, you will need to bring 1 cup of soil collected from your garden sealed in a Ziploc bag. During the workshop, we will analyze the different soil samples and check them for drainage. We will look at potential soil amendments and how those amendments can improve the health of your soil. Finally, we’ll discuss the living parts of your soil, how to encourage their growth and why they are essential for healthy gardens.
