| Description | This photo was taken at the 2016 Master Gardener Tour. Before participating in the Master Gardener program last year I didn't know much about succulents and wasn't particularly drawn to them. I thought they were...pedestrian. I knew they are drought tolerant--perfect for a Califronia friendly garden, but in the class I met several succulent enthusiasts and learned how easy it is to propagate them. I even started to strategically place my tickets in the lunchtime raffle for succulent cuttings brought in by my classmates and came away with several that are now flourishing in my garden. I've since made a few vertical hangings and have gifted succulent arrangements to friends. I'd say I'm a succulent convert (a sucker for succulents?) and I now appreciate their resilience and beauty. |
