Silent Auction

The silent auction is a fun-filled event as part of the awards banquet dinner on Weds. August 23, 2017 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Proceeds from the silent auction help support the 2017 UC Master Gardener Conference providing scholarships and education for its incredible volunteers, who donate time and knowledge extending sustainable gardening information to their communities all over California.  

The UC Master Gardener Program is looking for generous people and businesses to help make this year’s silent auction a huge success. The UC Master Gardener Program is seeking high quality silent auction donations that will be visible to the potentially 900+ volunteers in attendance. All individuals, businesses and organizations will be recognized for their donations at the silent auction on table signage and bid sheets for their support of the program.

County silent auction gift baskets are back!

All counties are invited to participate and donate a basket to the silent auction. We kindly ask each local UC Master Gardener county office to create one or more garden related baskets of nonperishable item(s) valued at $50.00 or more. These items and baskets may include handmade, purchased or donated from local businesses. Item(s) that do not fit in baskets, such as garden tools or birdhouses are displayed whenever possible with an easy to read description.

Basket Instructions: (must be provided)

• Display county name, basket theme in easy to read location.
• Provide a list of contents for baskets with multiple items.
• Wrap baskets and contents in cellophane with ribbon.

Once your county has determined which items they plan to donate, complete the short donation survey no later than Monday, Aug. 7 for planning purposes.
