30 Scholarships Awarded
The UC Master Gardener Program was able to award 30 need-based financial conference scholarships to assist volunteers, leaders and coordinators to attend the 2017 UC Master Gardener Conference taking place Aug. 22- Aug. 25 in Long Beach, Ca.
The scholarships were made possible by proceeds from the silent auction at the 2014 UC Master Gardener Conference in Yosemite as well as contributions from the statewide UC Master Gardener Program, UC Agriculture and Natural Resources and UCCE Los Angeles County.
All applicants were notified of their application status the week of July 10. If you are unsure of your scholarship status please contact mgevents@ucanr.edu.

Conference Scholarship Levels
Need-based scholarships are divided into four levels:
(Actual registration value $466)
Level 1 - Partial Registration- $147.50
Level 2 - Partial Registration- $147.50, plus $100 travel reimbursement
Level 3 - Full Registration- $295
Level 4 - Full Registration- $295, plus $200 travel reimbursement
Eligibility
To be eligible for conference scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an active or limited active UC Master Gardener volunteer, leader or coordinator
- Be unable to attend the 2017 UC Master Gardener Conference Aug. 22- Aug. 25 in Long Beach, Ca. without financial support
- Submit a completed application (see below)
- If awarded provide a short testimonials about your conference experience, to assist with program publicity
Awards
- Award recipients will be notified before August 1, 2017
- Applicants may reserve their spot by registering for the conference, not pay, and write "scholarship applicant" in the comments/questions box
