Climate Change in Agriculture
Our activities related to agriculture and climate change have a strong outreach and policy focus. One was to help plan the Second Climate-Smart Agriculture Global Science Conference, held March 20-22, 2013 at the University of California at Davis.
The State of California's programs on understanding the impacts of climate change, vulnerability and adaptation have involved many researchers and institutions. A set of publications by the California Energy Commission on climate change was published in 2012. Their brochure (CEC-500-2012-007) summarized the statewide program in a general way.
During the past few years, we led some of the California Energy Commission studies on agricultural impacts, vulnerabilities and potential adaptations to climate change (see Jackson CV & Pub 2015 for peer-reviewed journal articles):
