Program: This presentation is designed to provide the home gardener with all of the critical knowledge needed to grow a crop of happy prolific tomatoes all summer. Whether you’re a long-time grower or a first-year novice there is something for everyone. This presentation covers: weather and location, soil and irrigation, planting, scaffolding, fertilizer, pruning, harvesting, plant problems and a discussion of tomato varietals.

Speaker: Raoul Stepakoff has been a Marin Master Gardener since 2015. He has participated in the Edible Demonstration Garden at IVC since its inception in 2016, currently he is one of the Garden’s co-leads; previously he was a co-lead of the MMG’s Edible Guild. He has maintained a home vegetable garden everywhere he’s lived for the past 40 years and still finds it a fulfilling endeavor.
