The latest information on weed control will be presented at the Weed Management in Agronomic Crops for a Changing Environment online event on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (Pacific Time.) The lineup of UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE), UC Davis and Fresno State experts will discuss why we see horseweed and hairy fleabane in most parts of California year-round, herbicide trials in drill-seeded rice, integrated weed management for water-seeded rice, Italian ryegrass control in small grains, cover crops and weed management, and alternatives for managing weeds in alfalfa within changing pesticide regulations.

“We are dealing with a variety of pressing issues in weed management in agronomic crops, including new instances of herbicide resistance, increasing regulatory conditions, limited water, and less labor availability” said Whitney Brim-DeForest, County Director, UCCE Sutter-Yuba Counties, who is chairing this webinar event. “Researchers in California continue to tackle these issues in a variety of novel ways.”
