Become a UC Master Food Preserver!
Are you interested in learning more about home food preservation? Do you enjoy learning and volunteering? The UC Master Food Preservers of Northern San Joaquin are accepting applications for their 2016 training that will begin in early January. Don't wait to sign up. Cost: $200.00 (this will be collected after acceptance into the program. Please do not send any payment with your application.)
Dates and Time: Mondays: 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 2/29 Lecture only 6 to 8 pm
Saturdays: 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 2/27 Hands-on 8:30 to 4:00
Master Food Preserver Benefits

What do MFP Volunteers do?
- Answer food preservation telephone and email inquiries.
- Work in the community as local food preservation specialists.
- Staff information booths and present food preservation demonstrations at the local farmers' markets and other local events.
- Write articles for local newspapers and the MFP eNewsletter or blog.
- Teach classes on various food preservation topics.
