Extending Orchard IPM Knowledge in California
Frank Zalom
Dr. Frank Zalom earned BS and MS degrees focusing on Ecology at Arizona State University, Phoenix, and a PhD degree in Entomology at the University of California (UC) at Davis. He is a Professor of Entomology at UC Davis and has been associated with that university for 34 years. Dr. Zalom served 16 years as the Director of the UC Statewide IPM Program. He has conducted research and extension education programs in a number of orchard crops including almonds, stone fruit, and olives. He is an internationally recognized expert on orchard crop IPM, and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions and achievements. In 2014, he will serve as the President of the Entomological Society of America.
