Conservation Easement Workshop

UC Cooperative Extension hosted a Conservation Easement Workshop on November 6, 2019 in Calpine. The workshop was designed for ranchers, landowners, conservation organization staff and government agency staff. The informational event featured speakers from funding agencies, Department of Conservation and the Natural Resources Conservation Service, to discuss programs and requirements. The California Rangeland Trust and the Feather River Land Trust also presented on their conservation easement models and projects. Lastly, ranchers shared their perspectives and experiences in negotiating easements and operating under the deeded restrictions of a conservation easement.
